License Plates

NOTE: The current prices were verified July, 2025.  
           Standard serialized plates are $50.00 and
           Personalized plates are $186.00.

The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (SMDPA) is pleased to offer a special way to recognize your membership in the Society, through a PennDOT Organization license plate made especially for SMDPA members!

Instructions and the PennDOT Application form can be viewed/printed or downloaded PennDot Special Organization Plate Application.  *IMPORTANT NOTE* - The application form must be printed and completed with an original signature and mailed to the address indicated on the form.  A single check for total payment made to "SMDPA" for the entire amount must be enclosed with the application.  (SMDPA will manage the payment to PennDOT).  Thank you.

Also note: Serially numbered plates are delivered in 4-6 weeks of order receipt and acceptance by PennDOT, and Personalized plates are delivered within 8-10 weeks. 

Unfortunately, SMDPA has no easy way to check order status with PennDOT although you can try calling them at 717-412-5300. 

How the pricing is derived - this is not a fund raiser.

     Standard Serialized Plate:  $34 (PennDOT) + $6 (PA Correctional Industries) + $10 (SMDPA) = $50

     Personalized Plate:            $34 + $136 (PennDOT) + $6 (PA Correctional Industries) + $10 (SMDPA) = $186
