Beverly Kammenzind

Age 94, of Brookline, Beverly Jane (Pontus) Kammenzind passed peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022. She was born June 3, 1928, to Alonzo C. Pontus and Martha Frances (nee McKee) Pontus in Sheffield, PA, and grew up on a farm in Spangler, PA, a life which she loved and missed when she moved to Pittsburgh. She married in 1950 and was the loving mother to her six children, all of whom she leaves behind: Martha Mazzeo (Michael), Jeanne Nikolaison (Raymond), Albert (Debbie), David (Debbie), Scott (Tammy), and Keith Kammenzind. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was very proud to be a direct descendant of nine passengers who arrived in Plymouth, MA on the Mayflower in 1620, and was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Funeral arrangements are being made through BALL FUNERAL CHAPEL, INC., with interment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. Viewing and a short service will be private.
