To our loyal members and cousins,
SMDPA expects 2020 to be robust with activities for our members beginning with our annual meeting 4-18-2020 that will be keynoted by our dear Governor General George Garmany, Jr, MD!
In June, SMDPA is Co-sponsoring & hosting the “Dreamride” charity cycling event from Philadelphia to Plymouth, MA with Dr. Maestas, Superintendent of Plymouth schools. This charity event raises money and awareness for our society in a manner fitting our ancestors. www.dreamrideplymouth.org
Our Thanksgiving service and dinner in November will take place in historical St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA that was built in 1715 and still standing. This church has no electricity, so candles will illuminate our event. The church has been forever memorialized as Longfellow included it in one of his poems. Our dinner afterwards includes scholarship winners and presentation of our Distinguished Pilgrim award.
Our two vibrant Colonies are busy finalizing their plans for the local members. Please check our website for more events, details and updates.
On that note, our 2020 calendar is being completed, as we speak. Click here to see the Events Calendar.
Thanks again to all and may God bless our efforts and thriving Society!
Respectfully,
Governor SMDPA, Reed Kneale
